i'm in the library once again and it feels like, when i used to come here practically every day, apart from thursdays, to check my emails. it's snowing outside, which has obviously caused the whole world to go into chaos. after all, britain don't usually get much snow, so the whole country comes to a standstill to enjoy that momentus occasion.
unlike some, i love the snow, lovelovelove it. but as our college is situated high on a hill, and my house at the bottom of it, it makes it quite the task to get up and down that hill safely. like a plonker, i thought i only have converse trainers or plimsoles to wear in the snow, but i could wear my high heeled leather boots because at least they would keep my feet warm and dry. NUH-UH. biggg mistake, now i can barely walk anywhere without stumbling on a little bit of ice.
this brings me to the whole reason why i'm in the library.
i'm waiting for my dad, because i can't walk down the hill, because i'd fall flat on my ass like yesterday rollerskating (but that's another story), and to be honest, i don't need anymore embarrassing incidents marring my already bright red record. so, i'm waiting for him to come. i thought, seeing as he works on a golf course, that he wouldn't be too busy. i mean, can you really play golf in the snow, thick-lying-all-over-the-grass-snow? no, i didn't think so. but apparently, he still has to do maintenance. i mean, i thought that he just cut the grass on his big mower thing, but nooo, according to my dad they do much more than just cut the grass. they trim the trees.
THISSSS is supposed to be my three hours off before i have to go back to college for psychology and english combined, and be bored out of my skull. i should be at home having a cup-a-soup and a sandwich, watching the Underworld films that i recorded on sky+ last week. but nooooo, i'm sitting in the friggin' library waiting for my dad to come. and thisssss, THISSS, is all about snow.
friggin' snow.
love your-snowed-in-blog-writer,
lydiaaaa
